crafts in cartagena
No surprise that there was an abundance of colorful inspiration on the streets outside. So many artisan crafts and color that it was hard to decide where to look sometimes.
This wall sized mola was stunning- I could have looked at it for hours. It's like the pillows I make from my felt, but way more complex. (I made this as a project for Country Marketplace magazine a few years ago...did anyone make it? If so, I would love to hear about it.)
More tomorrow.....just too much. xoC
and finally---I updated my etsy shop. sweets for spring!

We have two of those mola (?) hanging in our doctor's office. The stitching is amazing. They are both from Bogota and are hand-stitched. Both ar rural or farm scenes with people, animal, trees and houses. They are so beautiful in person!

I want to go shopping. In Cartagena. Doesn't matter that we just got back from Mexico.

WOW it looks like an amazing trip. I am hoping that you have more pictures on Flickr, I could look at them forever. It just makes me feel all fun and vacationey through the pictures!

What beautiful images to view on this wet, dreary, morning! Thanks for sharing them. I would have been buying those tote bags and filling them up!
