the sweetest day
Both Mother's Day and Father's Day have a tradition at our house of being outstanding in-house productions. These darling girls never fail to put on a casual gala that is memorable in every way.
Backstage suspense, and then the big reveal....
baskets of flowers they planted on a park picnic table, handmade gifts, music, books, brunch and an afternoon trip to visit the lambs ...
But it is those little envelopes there, each with a love-letter so dear that I have to pace myself. Through tears, I finally managed to tell them that the best part of this day is seeing once more what incredible women they are...so thoughtful, giving, caring and just so sweet. And it's all a credit to their dear dad. When they were very little, he showed them how to take on this lovefest as their own heartfelt show. Year after year, they have dazzled each of us with their efforts. I hope they know how loved I feel...how much I cherish each of my sweeties. I think they do. I like to tell them so every chance I get. Just never enough of those! xoC

Wow...what a presentation of love! How blessed and loved you must feel. Too, too sweet...

How thoughtful and sweet...somehow, I think some of that came from both their father and you. I'm glad that you had such a special day!

Woah, OK. Yes, you got fabulous gifts, and your spoiled, ^_^- but man oh man do you have one awesome husband. To train your girls like that - to be so selfless, how fortunate!! I wish I had done something as nice for my mother.

The baskets look beautiful, but I'm sure the words were the most cherished gift. It sounds like it was a perfect day!

Truly you are blessed and how those sweet girls turned out I'd say is due in large part to YOU too. Happy for you! :-)

Oh my, those girls, I remember the pictures, long ago, in either the book or magazine of their little backpacks hanging by the back door...

Thanks for sharing your sweet girls with us for moment. What a beautiful job they did outside!
I'm sure the inside of the envelopes was just as beautiful.
