found my shoes
Re-entry is always hard after vacation, isn't it? Please can I have a few more days of lying around, reading, laughing, talking, wandering, eating, sipping lemonade? Those daily tasks that are lost to leisure seem mighty hard to take up again. I love doing laundry on vacation, why not here? What I do want to do is edit 526 vacation photos, blog all the details, catch up on everyone else's blogs, get to work on all the art and craft I imagined and sketched while staring at the sea....and more than anything- have my kids back here next to me. I did put my shoes on though. That's a start.
Food, laundry, mail sort, emails, details are standing at the door. But all the sweet memories of our wonderful 2 weeks by the sea are still twirling around the atmosphere. Mo and I are making a scrapbook for my mom. She dropped in for the second week and was over-the-top blissed by the joy of family, the sea, the big adventure. Who wouldn't be? It was so much fun, I don't know where to start. Hey, I said I got my shoes on...I'll get my blog groove on too. BRB...xoC

Welcome back Charlotte! I like your clever jar, and it's nice to hear that you've all enjoyed a good visit with one another in such a lovely way.

I am in exactly the same mood as you right now. I am back to work after two weeks in Italy. And all I want to do is finding a piazza café where I can sit down and write, write, write.......

I met your agent at the Surtex show when I was exhibiting this past May...what a great gal. Love your site and our similar interests....I also have 3 daughters and lots of creative moments each and every day....your shell jar reminds me of my latest post of mussel shells ..... the love of the beach and the treasures we find there is always inspirational...admired your work from afar, so nice to know a bit more about you...please check out my new blog when you get a chance,
best,

Charlotte,
Welcome back. Looks like a great vacation. I had never even heard of Fire Island til now, looks wonderful. I love the little cottages, the sea grass and all the things that go with beach vacations. I see you've preserved some of that vacation in the little jar. Nice, very nice. In January you can pick that up and be warmed by memories of summer on Fire Island.
