still summer
Today was spent making holiday designs and looking toward the fall, then winter. Tomorrow I am going to play with my new thrifted sewing trims and go back to enjoying summery things.
Like the Farmer's Market! Tomatoes, corn, basil, cilantro, homemade chutneys, jams, and maybe still some cherries. The two of us polished off a perfect blueberry and peach tart that I made from last week's visit. I think we should go with Gazpacho this time. (And then maybe a cherry tart.)
Happy summer Saturday to you too. xoC

Hi Charlotte,
We just got back from a few day trip up the coast for a change of scene ... it's so sad and quiet around here. We make baby steps forward and then dissolve again.
Well lookie what you've been up to! Ooooohh yummy! Blueberry and peach tart sounds heavenly. :)
Looks like you found some lovely sewing stuff to play with and oh my, some goodies to feast on too.
Your sock kitty is so darling, I love it's sweet face. What a lot of memories and childhood kisses it holds.
Wishing you a wonderful summery Saturday, filled with all the things that bring you pleasure!

The very best things of summer.
Beautiful photographs Charlotte.
I love your sock kitty. I've noticed that children are often drawn towards the "bells and whistles", but it's the simplest things that they stay with the most.
We're all still the children we were inside, maybe that's why the simple pleasures of summer, or really, any season, are the ones we treasure the most.
