just kitting

Bluekits337x

You know that feeling of coming home from an amazing getaway and being so "away" that you forgot where you came from. A fleeting moment when you are wondering where is it that you live, the green house or the pink one, what does that old life look like? The spell breaks when you walk in the door....oooooooooo, it's here, this house, that stack of mail, that message blinking, this is YOURS, not that. And then it's all there, clear as can be.

My reality this week is making the kits for Silver Bella. I can't wait to be there- to share the projects, the kits and have the fun of teaching the workshops, but omigoodness, so many of them, so many parts and pieces, so much work! This is why I need at least 6 more children- so they can each have a job here on the assembly line. And then I give them/they give me big huggy kiddley kisses when the job's done and we get to go out and play again. O, come on- REALITY is more like they tiptoe out when I flop on the glittered couch and take a nap. Quit kidding, start kitting. Dream over, back to work.   xoC

It's like coming "home" and seeing an old frienc stopping by here tonight. I've been busy and haven't even realized how much I've missed in Blog Land until the last couple of days. But the good thing is how wonderful it was to catch up...your art pieces, a wedding, and the most fabulous picture of you and your dad. My Daddy was a movie star, too...and a Texas Ranger! Funny how you miss them more the older you get, and you finally get a dash of wisdom yourself.
So good coming by to see you!

If you had six more kids I don't think you'd be knitting so much. In dreamworld, kids work. In reality, they are work. :-) But we love them anyways.

Loved your fairytale wedding story and photos. Dreamy!

I'm sure the kits are scrumptious! I'd drop in to help, if you didn't live so darned far away!

Best of Luck! :)

If I were closer, Charlotte, I'd come over and you could put me to work! :) The photo is an intriguing teaser. Can't wait for Silver Bella. xo

LOL, but what better work than what you have at hand? I'd help, too, if I lived closer!

sometims when i travel a lot if forget whee i am...it is a queer sensory quirk that brings me to center quickly...enjoy the kitting process...blessings, rebecca

LOL enjoy the kit making :)

Wish I could lend a hand...

Smiles...

I feel like coming home is often a 'culture shock'. You've come from a temporary world where outfits are planned ahead and food is cooked by someone else and so on. Then you get home and smile at all the familiar blessings... but then the phone rings, and you need to go to the market, and you should throw a load of wash in...and so on. Traveling makes wonderful memories and makes home 'gold at the end of a rainbow'.

I wanna go to Silver Bella! Seriously, I won't be there in person, but something "top secret" from Amy Powers at Inspireco will be there that we are working on like crazy. Maybe next year I will be there in person.

i'm right there with you dear...keep thinking i'm near the end and keep finding out i'm not quite. hugs and see you soon, in omaha :)

I cannot believe that SB is right around the corner! So exciting! Your kits look lovely and I am so looking forward to meeting you!
Hugs!
