away again
We are taking a spring break trip to Ireland with Mo. It's a birthday plus Christmas present (suggested by her sweet sisters who are unfortunately, busy at their desks). The gift card came with a little PS attached: you have to take your mom and dad because they've never been. Andy has worked for weeks to create an itinerary that promises to be an incredible adventure, so we are all excited...though if you have spoken to me, you know I'm a bit anxious about the logistics (getting Mo here first, flying, driving on the wrong side of the road), but surely it will all be fine- and way beyond wonderful!
I'm wishing I had a laptop to send all the sights back to you, but since I don't, I set auto-posts with some of those forgotten favorites I never got around to. Postcards from the past, sidetrips here and there.
Enjoy your own adventures, my friends, and borrowing a bit more of that famous luck, I'll be back soon with a camera and journal full of amazing tales. xoC

Do enjoy this wonderful adventure! Ireland is a place that I will probably only see in my dreams...
*sigh*
Take it all in...bring us some lovely photos...

I hope you all have a fabulous time! Ireland really is a beautiful place - my own favourites - Galway and the surrounding coastline and Kilkenny.
Enjoy it all and I can't wait to see the photos!

I love Ireland! I once spent several months there, so let me know if you have any questions.
I waitressed at a hotel in Dublin and played fiddle with the locals in a pub. I visited the amazing historical site in Glendalough and enjoyed the best scones I've ever had. I went to traditional music festivals in County Clare and County Donegal.
I did find driving on the left to be very stressful, esp since the place we rented the car was right in Dublin, so our first experience of driving was in the city.
When you're on the highway, even if it's only 2 lanes, people will drive right down the middle to pass you...so watch out for that.
Driving in the country on small roads can be scary if there are hedgerows. There's barely enough room to drive sometimes.
You'll love it!
