My favorite childhood book was The Lonely Doll. Last year I found a copy at the church sale, gingham cover and all. I love that book, Edith and her kittens, Mr. Bear, Little Bear.
Restocked my Etsy shop this morning with more Crafted book/kits. And hoping there will be a few tea-mice to add later too. Gorgeous day here. Think I'll take the wool basket outside.

I've never heard of this book but it sounds (and looks!) charming!!! Isn't it wonderful when we find things that bring us such happy memories!?

Oh I have to find one. I adore finding childhood memories again or anew as the case may be. What a sweet little cover.
Thanks.

Omigod, I read you early this morning, shop not open and then BAM! I return tonight to find the shop was opened but emptied so quickly again! Yikes, you are too talented, dear Charlotte.
Any more materials left? whimper..whimper.

I absolutely adored this book as a child! It had belonged to my aunts, (and was a fave of theirs too!), so whenever I went to my grannies house someone had to read it to me until I was old enough to read it myself. A couple of years ago I bought a repro copy, but it isn't quite the same without the dog-earred pages. Thanks for the sweet memories.

Oh yes yes! Me too...some of my favorite books were the Edith books...I'm so happy for you that you were able to find an original one, what a treasure :)

I have yet to see your Etsy shop with stock on the shelves! I quickly clicked over to it while reading your blog-empty again! Wow, I am impressed.

One of my favorite books, too, and one that I shared with my girls. I even have a copy autographed by Dare Wright! The mice are adorable.
