Packing everything for Omaha tomorrow and getting very excited now to go. Old and new friends, teaching, learning, enjoying.
Thanks for the suggestions regarding the ramp .... one way or another, we'll make it work. Thinking about that sent me digging through my desk copy of Mothers and Daughters At Home and finally found this favorite quote. It's on the page opposite our m/d sampler project: "Good deeds live long."
Things turn out best for people who make the best of the way things turn out. -anonymous
Yes to all.

Aren't you just a kindred spirit. I fell in love with both of your books -- and the first thing I stitched up was that little sampler -- it hangs by my front door as a little reminder to be nice and do good . . . it may be a battle when you walk out that door -- but our little reminder is there for our family to be a light in the world. Thanks for your positive spirit! As you can see -- you spread it around a bit!

I just pulled out both your books the other day. It's always such a nice thought to think that I was spending time with you, a long time before we met in the blog world. I remember being so timid to comment at first, but I found enough gumption to do it, and I'm so glad I did.
I love that bunny, and how he's positioned next to the old embroidered flower. Lovely!
Safe journey my friend.

Charlotte, that second anonymous quote really struck home with me. My mom could have said that.
And that darling little rabbit... so sweet and comical, too!
You have to have a sense of humour to keep going, I think.
Have a good good time and bring back some stories and pix!

Hi, I have always credited that saying to Jack Buck, the voice of the St Louis Baseball Cardinals for all of my growing up years. Loved him and the saying!
