The first thing I did for the new year was shop new dish towels for the kitchen. That's going to be my new year's routine now. The old ones were veeeeeery old, so ready to be retired.
And as it turned out, on the same day, I discovered that the ones I designed for Natural Life were actually available and for order through the showroom and company catalog! This (above) is the first round prototype and this below (different towel base, new trim choices) is the sample towel for order.
Darling, if I do say so myself, and just one of four designs making their debut in Atlanta this week at the Gift Show.
The other big NEWS is that I will be teaching this June at Squam Art Workshops in New Hampshire! I'm so thrilled, so honored to be invited to join this event, to teach and learn alongside these outstanding instructors and students at this glorious lakeside retreat. And I can drive there- no planes, no bags to check, no boxes to ship. Just load up the car, push PLAY and hit the road!
I'm teaching the Felt Cottage class and the Stitch & Stash book, a new class created just for this event. Take a minute to visit the website and explore all the offerings and the images of this enchanted place. Registration begins February 1. Hoping you will make plans to come sit by me and sew!
Back to work on the felting for our Sessions class here in just a few short weeks. Full to overflowing with wonderful students, sweets from sponsors and stacks of yummy sweaters to play with.
Happy days, indeed!

Your tea towels are wonderful, Charlotte. Love your "stitch and stash" book project!

oh how fun! I love the towels.
Also, I was thinking of doing Squam this year - not sure if the summer or fall session though. Happy new year!

Those are the cutest of towels, so darling Charlotte!
OH! I want to go to Squam SO BAD! Drat! Being terrified of flying is such a curse. Darn darn and double darn. I would be there in a heartbeat (and all your other classes Charlotte!) if it didn't require a stinkin plane ride. WAH!
Okay, nauseating whining is over, now I'll be happy for you! ;)
You big lucky! That's so wonderful Charlotte. What a magical time you're going to have and the other Squam-ettes with you. I can't wait to read all about it. I turn pea green with envy every year reading about everyone's experiences there.
Your Stitch and Stash book would be a fun online class, hint hint. :)
