A lot of this lately. There's a big comfy couch under there somewhere. We've enjoyed lots of lazy time together this week, especially in the evenings when everyone comes home. It was so cold last night, we were all buried in a rippling sea of crochet. Cozy and fun.
When I was a kid, my mother would let me pick out 3 or 4 colors of wool on Friday and I'd wear the sweater to school on Monday. She mastered a round and round pattern with a ski sweater pattern at the yoke. I loved it that she would spend her weekend knitting for me and always felt so spiffy in that new sweater. There was one made up in charcoal grey, pale grey, red and white that I especially loved.
In the last few days, I've asked the girls to step into the studio and choose fabrics from my new collection for a zipbag. I made one for Maggie the other day. Today's project (below) is for Mo. Erin's will be over the weekend. Taking a stack of prints to my mom's this afternoon though I think I'll make a bigger tote for her.
Hoping everyone is enjoying the week between. All this loose time makes me feel inspired to make things. I can't believe another year is almost finished!

I {heart} that fabric--soooo pretty...I know, another year flew by so fast.....every year the 4th of July gets closer to Christmas....Julierose

Everyone has gone home (after 16 in my house for a week) and I switch to "what can I make" mode. When you love it, sewing is therapy. Grand baby #8 on the way so there's plenty to do. It's 70 in Mississippi. You can come warm up if you'd like.
Happy New Year!

The fabric is so pretty, Charlotte. I'm looking forward to seeing it for sale.
Enjoy the quiet time between. Happy New Year!

I can't believe your mother could knit the whole sweater in a weekend! That's depressing for someone like me who takes months to finish one sweater. By the way I love the blue fabric.

In all the craziness that was 2011, I'm not sure I picked up on the fact that you have a line of fabric out! I must say it is truly lovely, just like everything you create. Happy New Year!!!
