Right now every street, parkway, garden and yard has at least one tree exploding with beautiful color and blossom.
And I've been inside the branches of several. Looking up.
Looking closely.
There is even one very pretty tree in my own yard.
Which gives me a chance to remind you of this sweet post from years ago when the girls gave me this beautiful dogwood for Mother's Day. Covered with blossoms and memories, it's one of the loveliest gifts ever. Don't you think?
My mother doesn't have a place to plant, but all of this has inspired me to sit down and stitch the birdie banner in pink colors for her breakfast table window.
Much needed rain is expected over the weekend so I'll be under a pink tree this afternoon getting started. Hoping something is blooming and beautiful where you are. The magic of spring!

oh Charlotte, you always have the "bestest" ideas......birdie banner in pink...... Lovely...... Xox. P.s. Please show us when you're finished. Please, please.

I think you have just inspired me to go out and take pics in my garden and yard. I feel a very pretty scrapbook page coming on! :D

Your dogwood memories are similar to a book I did for my mother several years ago, with 58 memories (one for each year she'd been my mom) and pictures of us. My jottings were small, perhaps obscure memories, but it really is the little things that a daughter remembers to tell a mom that let's her know how special she is. I lost my mom last year, and now I have the book...it makes me happy to take that stroll down memory lane from time to time.

Hi Charlotte,
Sorry to have been such an infrequent poster of late, it's been a very hard month and a half over here. :(
The good news is we finally rented my father's house and the darling family moves in today. Hurray!
Although I haven't commented, I have been peeking in and enjoying and admiring and as ever, you have brought smiles my way.
Your posts about your family are so very sweet and dear and brighten my day - loved revisting your dogwood post today.
I loved your Easter post, so charming and colorful and gave me the smilies and of course your bunny lumps!
I adore pink and can't wait to see your banner for your mom!
And such gorgeous flower pics today, makes me want to take a trip to the nursery. (We have a neighborhood garden tour tomorrow for Earth Day weekend, with lots of sustainable ideas and chickens, etc., I can't wait!)
Happy weekend to you and your dear ones!

The dogwoods outside my window are just starting to open. The flashes of the goldfinch as they eat at the feeder, adds a little pop of color. Your banner is beautiful.
