Finished my new sampler and have it in the shop. While you are whispering words of wisdom, comfort and inspiration to your little ones heading off to school, here is another favorite saying worth repeating.
Hope everyone's back-to-school day went well yesterday! New backpacks, new faces. New opportunities to be kind.
And a new chance to sit down and stitch.
Looking forward to a lovely September, one of my very favorite months!

Very pretty! I love the idea of the vine framing the sampler.

LOVE the birds, the design, the colors you chose and the lettering style. It's better than the best! Julie

My daughter (16) has decided to take up embroidery. She's a bit impatient to learn the stitches but this will be a great sampler for her to begin with. I ordered two so we can have a mini sew along together. :)

How wonderful! And you probably didnt know that I originally used this saying in a sampler I designed for my book, Mothers and Daughters at Home (2000). So happy to feel the tradition continuing. Just the best!

I ordered a bunch of perle cotton sized 8. I've never used it before for embroidery, but thought I'd give it a try since you use it frequently. I am two minutes away from walking out to the terrace with my iced tea to start stitching "good deeds". I love starting new projects.

Where can you buy all those lovely colors of pearl cotton. Fabric stores or craft stores only have basics . Linda gerog

I know- its tough to find in the big stores. There are some Etsy sellers who have them. The Anchor collections for Anna Maria Horner are gorgeous!
