inside :: Maggie asked me to make a runner for their big table. She wanted me to use my fabric and this is what I chose (Queen Anne's Lace). On their black wood table with everything she styled it with, it looks pretty amazing.
outside :: more gorgeous flowers from the farmers' market.
Walking up to the door this afternoon, I watched a big hawk fly right overhead and then looked down. There were these crazy mushroom flowers newly popped up under the cedar tree. I've never seen anything like that happen to a mushroom. So pretty and I wonder were they supposed to be that way or did something happen in the process of mushrooming?
I got some new paints the other night. I'm a little blocked on the blogging thing so I'm going to use the inside-out approach to stumble forward. A photo inside and one outside. Each day. Not sure how long that will last, but here's Day One.
Finished my new sampler and have it in the shop. While you are whispering words of wisdom, comfort and inspiration to your little ones heading off to school, here is another favorite saying worth repeating.
Hope everyone's back-to-school day went well yesterday! New backpacks, new faces. New opportunities to be kind.
And a new chance to sit down and stitch.
Looking forward to a lovely September, one of my very favorite months!
