Walking up to the door this afternoon, I watched a big hawk fly right overhead and then looked down. There were these crazy mushroom flowers newly popped up under the cedar tree. I've never seen anything like that happen to a mushroom. So pretty and I wonder were they supposed to be that way or did something happen in the process of mushrooming?
I got some new paints the other night. I'm a little blocked on the blogging thing so I'm going to use the inside-out approach to stumble forward. A photo inside and one outside. Each day. Not sure how long that will last, but here's Day One.
Love, love, love those colors!

Hi Charlotte!
The in and out is a nice idea. That is a beautiful shade of red....are they acrylics or maybe watercolors?

Mushroom flowers! So much fun - never heard of or seen them before. Who knew?!
Love your painting, the reds are just glorious, so vital and alive.

I'd say you've hit on a winning combination - one inside, one outside. Hope the blogging inspiration returns. Meanwhile, lovely textures and colours.

New paints...reminds me of the possibilities of a new box of crayons when I was a youngster.
I've never seen anything like those mushrooms. Isn't nature just amazing?
