All of a sudden, it just seems like summer is over. It's in the air, the light, the things that call out to us.
Time to get busy for fall!

Fall....my favorite season. But as Northwest summers are so short, so fleeting, I am just not ready to greet the "F" word. Perhaps in another week or two?
The light here is changing...lower in sky, slanting through the trees at an angle that sets off the colors of the big leaf maples, just beginning to show that tinge of orange that signals the approach of autumn.

Yes--wonderful photos. So expressive! In Australia, we have just had the warmest winter on record. Maybe yours will follow the same pattern!

I'm not thinking about fall until September 1. But the rains began and this morning was foggy. It's getting harder to stick with my resolution.
Lovely photos of late summer.

Beautiful pictures. I'm ready for the best season of the year. It has been too hot here & now we are breathing heavy smoke from the Yosemite fire. Ready for cool fall nights!
