I bet the view is lovely up that high. Are you facing the Arch?

Stew sounds delish on a day like this. I hope you both enjoy it.

We were in your old hometown this afternoon. So many vacancies on the Avenue. Sign of the times I think. All of the businesses that were open had signs announcing early closing today for the Bears game. True Chicago style!

Glad you're enjoying your weekend w/Mom.

Go Bears!

I grew up in IL so I remember how cold those winters were back in the Midwest. Stay warm and enjoy your stew. I'm glad your mom is doing ok.

Brrrr! I'm thinking about you!
I'm glad to hear that things are better.
What lovely colors your woolens are!

Have a great time with your Mum, she sounds like fun! I hope I grow old like that... my favourite poem is that "When I am older I shall wear a purple dress and red hat" one... here's to time spent with family!

Oh boy....I better not tell you it was 70 degrees here in San Diego......However, I did grow up in Michigan for 20 years so I still remember the cold well. And the warm cozy days spent inside.
