Greetings from the cold, cold Midwest. Won't be cutting these favorite woolies up just yet. Putting them on today, all of them. It was 5 degrees this morning and that walk for coffee was a brisk one. My eyes were watering so badly that the girl behind the counter thought I was crying. No, just warm eyes freaking out against cold air. Having a great visit though. Your kind thoughts and wishes for mom to feel better are so sweet. Thank you. All is better, the sun is shining and the view from the 21st floor is fabulous. I'm busy in the kitchen (a rare thing these days) making a big pot of stew to fill Mom's fridge. Yum. Stay warm. xo little charlotte and big Charlotte
I bet the view is lovely up that high. Are you facing the Arch?
Stew sounds delish on a day like this. I hope you both enjoy it.
We were in your old hometown this afternoon. So many vacancies on the Avenue. Sign of the times I think. All of the businesses that were open had signs announcing early closing today for the Bears game. True Chicago style!
Glad you're enjoying your weekend w/Mom.
Go Bears!

I grew up in IL so I remember how cold those winters were back in the Midwest. Stay warm and enjoy your stew. I'm glad your mom is doing ok.

Have a great time with your Mum, she sounds like fun! I hope I grow old like that... my favourite poem is that "When I am older I shall wear a purple dress and red hat" one... here's to time spent with family!

Oh boy....I better not tell you it was 70 degrees here in San Diego......However, I did grow up in Michigan for 20 years so I still remember the cold well. And the warm cozy days spent inside.
