Last December I posted a series of handmade crafts that were inspired by materials already at home, just waiting to be whipped up into some kind of unique gift or decoration. With Easter just around the corner, I am going to post another series of easy-to-make crafts for Spring.
This big egg-shaped ragball is the spring version of the snowballs I made for winter. Take a styro (or paper mache) egg of any size and simply wrap it tip to tip with 1/2" muslin strips torn from the yardage. You can use a straight pin to anchor it here and there- not too many though. When covered completely, wrap it around the middle with a belly band of lace or some other pretty textile. Anchor the ends of that with a paper message and a pin on each side of the paper. Tuck in a flowery stem and it's done.
Happy April, Charlotte! I adore the songbird heart ornaments.

This is adorable, Charlotte. I think I'll have to go find an egg shape of some kind somewhere.
