Thinking about you Charlotte and your sweet Mom. . .

Hugs, Kim

What a great quote!!! I'm borrowing that for my "Engeldark" line. Tell your mother I said hello and I'm thinking of her.
Love, Mary

You are never far from my mind during these days. Great quote! And a lovely piece of work there, too.
Take care.

Thinking of you this week Charlotte. Glad to to hear your mom is doing better and you've found what sounds like a nice place for her.

Hello Charlotte,

These are great news. I am so glad to hear that your Mom is doing much better now. And you too.

Love this quote.

Oh Charlotte, I'm so relieved and gladdened to hear your mom is doing so much better! Exhale. Happy dance! I'm so glad you're feeling better too and so glad to hear that you have others there to pitch in and help you. I know how utterly overwhelming and isolating it all can be.

My father had a long, confusing hospitalization last year, followed by a long rehab stay and yet another hospitalization end of last year into this year. I was amazed, dismayed, brokenhearted, angered as I watched both my father and his roommates, receive little to no care - if a family member/visitor was not able to be there, the patients seldom received a touch or a smile or a reassurance. Thankfully my dad (was well enough) and is such a schmoozer that he made himself quite noticeable to the staff and grabbed extra moments of attention here and there. (And I became quite shrewish and demanding of the staff on his behalf - makes my stomach hurt thinking back.)

Sending hugs hugs and more hugs, a hand to hold and a wish for renewal and calm.

Sally

P.S. I adore that quote too!

Caring for an aging parent whose health is declining is one of the hardest and most stressful things we have to do. My sister and I went through it with both of our parents and it can really take its toll. Staying optimistic and surrounding yourself with friends and family helps tremendously. All the best to you and your mom.

Charlotte, sending you and your mother warm wishes.

So glad things are going better. Love that quote & what a loving family. Hugs to all.

This all sounds so familiar to me, reminds me of what my Mom and I went through years ago. Those moments are so precious, because they aren't taken for granted

Peace & Love :)

Love those Italians...such a great outlook on things! (I'm so lucky to own the piece you have pictured today and get to enjoy it everyday!)

I have been traveling down the same road as you since November helping out mom and dad from on weekends in another city in between a full time job and I KNOW the challenge. All you can do is take one day at a time and hug the good days. I wish you and your mom goodness and love.

deb
