Know that you & your Mother are in my thoughts & prayers. Take good care. Many hugs to all.

Heather - Speckled Egg

Hi Charlotte,
Just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you and your Mom. Hugs!

Hang in there!

Charlotte - Hoping your Mom gets the help she needs to bring her back to a healthy state and that you can maintain a healthy state as well. It's tough for all involved. So sorry. Will keep you and yours in my prayers.

Hang in there... LindaSonia

I also hope your mom is able to respond to the "spa" treatments. Such a cute way to try to soften a necessary experience. Hope and pray she does well....

Hey sweets, I've bee sensing all of this and now I see I am right. Sending you a big hug from Omaha! Truly.
I love that you put her lipstick on for her. I hope my daughter puts my lipgloss on for me when I need her to.
More big hugs and I miss you!

I was hoping my instinct was wrong, but glad to hear your Mom is getting the help she needs. Remember to take care of yourself too. Sending you and your Mom big healing hugs and thoughts. Love the lipstick story, with my Dad it was playing pinochle. Cheers.

Hi Charlotte;
Send love and blessings to you and your Mom

I pray for peace for the two of you.

omgoodness... I am going through the same thing with my mil right now, so I know how hard it is on the whole family. I'm sending you love, hugs and more hugs. I hope she is better soon.

I thought things had gotten worse too... Oh, I'm so sorry. You are in my thoughts and prayers. It's so stressful, on so many levels.
Take care of yourself now and get some rest. Someone wise told me not to lose myself in my Mom's care-- wonder who? And the basket of stuff has saved me. Thanks.
I'm sure I'll be having someone put my mascara on someday... I do my Mom's eyebrows every time I'm there... maybe vanity is the last thing to go ;)I keep trying to find the humor... it helps.
Lots of love and hugs to you, Charlotte.

Prayers for your Mom and you. I know how difficult it is when parents' fall ill. Just getting the medical attention is a full time job. Glad you have your workbasket with you. I'm sure you girls will be back on the balcony in time for the 4th of July.

My thoughts and best wishes are with you and your Mum.
Glad you are quizzing everything the Doctors say. It is important that you are well informed. I am sure that with your Mum going to the "spa", things should improve as the same people will be treating her day after day and should notice the changes within her.
Take care of yourself Charlotte... you need to be strong and healthy to be able to cope in the long term.
I wish I could do something to help.

You and your mom are in my thoughts and prayers, Charlotte. When my grandmother had to be in a nursing home, my mom was there every single day. It was exhausting for her at first, but then I think it just became such a routine for her. As the days went on, she started doing the things that my mother 'just does' things she would do if she went to visit a friend, bring goodies for everyone (almost daily) flowers, special little things at holidays. She thought of everyone, from the cook to the director to every aid, doctor and nurse in between. Little acts of kindness. There were always sad little old men and ladies, some very cranky, some just sad, that had no one ever visit them. Ever. She made an extra effort with them. Just a little love here and there. It is amazing what spreading a little beauty in any form (whether a special goodie, a holiday trinket, a smile and a conversation, a cup of tea, listening to the same story you've heard 10 times) can do for an atmosphere. I think our art and crafting is like that, don't you think? Little seeds of happy things that can make a day a bit brighter even if just evoking a smile. The time you are spending with your mom is a beautiful thing. You never know who is touched by witnessing your ripples in a pond when you toss in a pebble. xo -C ^..^

Charlotte -

Your mom, and you, are in my thoughts and prayers always.

My best to you all! I know what you are going thru, I have been thru the same with both my parents and next week my mom goes in for surgery again... It is hard to be "the sandwich generation"- kids still needing us and parents needing us too! Good luck with her and try to do a little something for yourself or watch a movie that you love to escape when you can!
Hugs! karen...

Sending love and good wishes. It is not easy to have to parent your parent. I was not prepared either, for their frailty. Wishing you the best and strength to weather the storm. Peace and love

You are in my prayers. I've been there. Cherish these moments...I know you don't have to be told that.

Been there, going there again... sigh. You are in thoughts and hearts. Take care of yourself too as you well know!
Art does help, doesn't it? A cuppa tea, music, a book and yes, save some of the lipstick for yourself... just keep on keeping on.

I love you.

I'll be thinking of you and your mom and saying a prayer for strength and wisdom and blessings.

I have also been there with my mom. Lipstick is important & for my Mom it was hair dye! Keep your sense of humor & cherish all the good times.

Thinking of you and your Mom, it does take such a toll on everyone's life but as others have shared keep the lipstick in your pocket and a little project tucked away for sitting quietly and sharing a few smiles in the sun.

Hi Charlotte-
I am glad to hear you are still trying to be creative.
I told you a while back that I have a son with mild autism. Art is my release, when time allows.
I hope the warm weather brings a speedy recovery for
your mom.

Just went thru a similar situation with my Mom who is 86, in the hospital for 2 weeks, some complications, but is back home now in the house I grew up in, driving, playing, lunching with friends, looking great. Just a little setback for her. My brother and I were at her side, lots of love sent her way. She is amazing anyhow and I posted a photo on my blog of us having tea in Boston a few weeks after she came home, so hope springs eternal. Hope the same for your Mom. For those 2 weeks I put my life on hold, so I know where you are.

I'm thinking of you both, Charlotte, and sending lots of love your way. It is an emotional time, in a way that is tiring, but as you say humbling too. For both of you. Your mom is a fortunate woman to have you there, and you'll never regret having cared for her, as best you can.

Take good care of yourself too sweetie. You are important to a great many people who love and appreciate you.

Hang in there. You never know, AMAZING things can happen in Rehab. (I really do know-been a rehab nurse for 8 years now). You and your mom will be in my thoughts and prayers. All the Best! Take care.

Just remember to look for the enjoyable thru it all... keep a good sense of humor... it helps!
Take your camera! You never know when it can be a comfort. Oh, and maybe a journal!
Take care
