That's awesome.

Having connections to the here and now of times gone by are so important. What sweet photos. One of My Halloween Blogsters just let me know they are from the tiny town where I grew up, also. Magical, this Blogovia and this time of year!
Have a wonderful week and can't wait to see the class shenanigans, Charlotte!
Take care.

I'm in Pebble Beach and Carmel every July. Next time I go, I'll try to visit Nevertheless!

The interconnectedness of this global community is really amazing when we take the time to think about it. Who could have ever imagined such a thing even 20 years ago?

The excitement must be building for those attending your class - I'm getting excited even here on the west coast!

Such a beautiful Cottage and such a fantastic name, I love the fact that you were able to find it on google.
Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Diane

That was such a sweet story! You have to make your mom another sign. Blog world is so small and so full of amazing people. That was so sweet of her to go look and take a picture. Thanks for sharing. Grace

I've gone Google-visiting, too! It makes me feel a little closer to my daughter to "walk" down her street in Boston. And I've traveled down my old street in London when wishing I could go back for a visit. Sometimes a virtual visit is just what is needed!

What a wonderful way to spend time with your Mom. The cottage is beautiful. Have a wonderful. (I am so envious of those who are going to you workshop! They are going to have so much fun.)

What a beautiful cottage and sweet sign. It is so special that you can share those memories with your mother. Donna XO

I too have gone on many a "Google" virtual walk. I love it. I've showed it to quite a few friends and everyone does the same thing. "See! See, this is where I lived. This was the little store we used to go to. This was....." and the memories roll on. Sometimes technology makes me crazy. Sometimes it makes my day!

Hope yours is a great one.

What a lovely, lovely post on homes, Charlotte.

lovely. My son likes playing around with google earth to find where we have been on holiday

Love this post Charlotte!

What a lucky lady your mom is to have lived in one of the most magical of places, Carmel.

I'm so glad you two were able to take a little virtual stroll together, down the familiar lanes, feel the sea breeze and remember days gone by.

And how very lovely for your readers to take up the cause (and the computer) and the camera! So sweet of everyone!

Oh gosh, what a wonderful day you have planned for your class participants, Charlotte! Lucky lucky ladies!

Wishing you all a wonderful day, filled with friendship and creativity.

Hello Charlotte,

What a great place for the classes!
Love it!

What a darling cottage! Oh my to live there would be a dream come true.

Is it just me but that seems pretty odd demanding that the sign with all the sentimental value had to stay?

It would be so nice to have an artist paint a picture from this photo and include the wonderful sign.

What a magical moment. So sweet!
