Charlotte! What a find!!! I have some similar albums where a lady cut out articles, etc. that must have met something to her. There are 5 of them and there was a smaller one that had a brochure of Mt.Rushmore before it was finished. Gave that to a friend that had been a blessing to our family during my husband's illness. I am sure Gladys would be pleased that this is safe in your hands!! debbie

*yes, very disappointed about the Home Companion....

I bet Gladys would be so happy that you love her book! What a treasure!

Lovely story.

What a treasure. You are so lucky to have found it. Or maybe you were SUPPOSED to find it. Gladys would be so happy that her lovely book is in the care of someone who knows how to treasure life.

Oh Charlotte!~~What a lovely find!~~XXOO, Beth

This looks just like something my Grandma Opal used to do. I have some of her little "books" that she made when she was younger. She has passed on now and I treasure those books very very much. What a lucky girl you are to of found Gladys book. :)

That is the coolest thing I have ever seen! What a fabulous treasure.

How lovely to find a little jewel like Gladys' book. That would make my day to sit and pour over those clippings and thoughts of long ago! I am enjoying the spring more this year than ever...all our dogwoods and cherry trees and now even our lilacs are blooming!
Take care, Laura

Hi Charlotte,

I finally had time to drop by your wondeful blog again. Every time I stop in it makes me happy. You do a lovely job, and your writing is always like poetry.

What a wonderful find! :)

You lucky! What a wonderful find! The book by itself would have been lovely but the handwritten notes, typed beloved poems and clippings make it so very dear.

We planted tomatoes this weekend - hoping to try some other veggies too.

Wishing you a lovely week and countdown to MEHC Workshops!

What a treasure! I would be over-joyed to find a book like that. I know you will keep it safe!
