I finished my latest stitching design and have it all printed up for you on pre-washed 100% cotton.
A little bigger than the first one, it's mighty sweet, this time in blue like the ones we did years ago. I think it would be pretty stitched just in blues, but of course, many colors are fun too. Lots of places in the design and borders to add extra bits of color and stitches.
Kind of love drawing these- and then stitching up the details. Oh, those little treetop birds and that tiny blue heart! And then the pink house - well, you know.
You can get one in my Etsy shop and I'll send it over.
SO delightful, Charlotte! It's just perfect.

Do you have a book recommendation for learning how to do the different stitches?

I have a bunch of old thrifted stitch guides here and those at the library, but also have found sources online. Janet at Primrose also hosts Stitch School http://stitchschool.blogspot.com/ which is fabulous.
I really only use a few standard stitches like daisy and chain, back, running, double running, couching, blanket and feather.
Hope that helps!

It all helps! It's been forever since I've done any embroidery, but your houses are beginning to inspire me.

This is beautiful. I also love your stitch book. I've been wanting to embroider on some pillowcases and was wondering what you use to transfer your images. If you don't mind my asking.
