That sweet lil guy had his first birthday! We all had fun getting together on a very cold February day to celebrate Mr. Vince. Dang, he is one super cute and smart kid. Maggie created a lumberjack themed party and she worked so so hard! It was darling and I was really proud of my crafty girl. Well done!
Wanting to teach more, I hosted a casual small group workshop in town making necklaces with glass charms. Loved doing that here and we will definitely do it again. Soon after, I returned to Mohonk to teach a pair of classes over the girlfriends' getaway weekend. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the classes. Lots and lots of eager students! We were set up in the conference center, a beautiful, large room by the lake. Although I used to do some television/studio work for HGTV and DIY, that was ages ago. Wearing a microphone and working under a chef's cam on my hands for a large screen was something to get used to. Fortunately, my daughter, Erin was there to assist. She was so good at that!
Back home again, the winter days are stretching a little longer. Spring seems to be seeping in around the edges of grey and snow. Today it just feels greener, although I couldn't tell you where.
Just in time for spring, my pal Pam Garrison is teaching an online class at Creativebug. I've never done an online class. So easy! Inspiring lessons and I love listening to Pam lead the exercise for the day. Had a great time with some of my favorite prompts. Buttons, leaves. Birds. Simple how-to and just a nice excuse to play with a pen and paper. Maybe add some color too. (They offer a 14 day free trial and have so many classes to try out.)
Pam has her own self-produced online class as well. Painting Petals is a gorgeous, color-saturated class about painting flowers and many projects she designed to use the techniques for fun applications. Love her work. So much!
Okay, going to get the video started up for today's drawing exercise. Hoping you have fun doing something creative today. Doodle, stitch or paint something for spring!
Cute grandson. Wonderful idea a lumberjack party. He certainly seems to be enjoying his cake. Lovely stitching in the first photo. xox

I just stumbled upon your blog and love it! As a fellow artist/illustrator, it was fun to discover a few new things. First off, I love Creativebug and have had an active membership for almost a year now. Sadly, I've forgotten about it and was happy for the reminder! :D I love your doodles and stitching and am looking forward to getting to know you more. :)
