Thank you all for the sweet emails and cards about my mom. ♥
Life catches you up and moves you along. It was a welcome delight to head back to Vermont for another retreat with friends and artists. We had a beautiful set of days together at Meleen's side-by-side houses. Sewing, stitching, painting, carving, stamping. Adventuring, sharing, visiting and gathering. Thank you to everyone who came and to the generous sponsors who contribute so much.
A memorable highlight was celebrating our friend, Leslie who is marrying her sweetheart! We collaborated in advance on a wedding banner of individual flags. Each of us made one 5 x 5" (with a 1" fold-over top for the casing) using various natural linens as the backgrounds. They were amazing! So thoughtfully designed and created. What a lovely way to honor her happiness!
Welcome, June! Lots going on here in preparation for big changes to come. I haven't unpacked from Vermont and as it turns out, I'm not going to. More later, but until then, hoping your summer starts up with a splash of color, a burst of creativity and a sense of adventure. xoxo
My deepest sympathy on the loss of your sweet mum, Charlotte. You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers.

A wonderful collection of photos. I try and convince myself it's nearly as good as being there! But I'm not succeeding.

I am long overdue for another Vermont happ'nin'. this all looks so delicious - and even more so, now that you are a bonified local part of it. how wonderful that you have been able to so fully create the beginnings of a beautiful new chapter, just as the page was turned on the plaintive one that came before. sending much love, admiration, and encouragement to a favorite Renaissance woman xoxox

Happy Sunday! I am hailing you from Ontario. I happened to skip merrily through your IG feed this morning and came upon your recent news. How sad to learn of your Mom's passing. She seemed a kind and compassionate lady and always looked utterly fabulous. I hope she is reunited with her true love. Peace to you and your family while you process your loss. And then...Vermont! Although Canadians, we lived in Burlington, right across from campus, for a short time in the '80's. Vermont is a special place in all of America. Wonderful choice. Best wishes for healing and joy in your new home.(You may remember (maybe not...) I emailed you once about the loss of your canine soulmate, while I was pining for a lost dog.) Courage & Calm...

So sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. Mothers are dear to us all; some of us are fortunate in deed to have more than one. My mother in law passed 10 days after your dear mother. She too was loved by a large rambunctious family of 9 children 36 grands and 67 great grands... and 1 great great grand. I too am sure that they are loving where they are and smiling down at us. Thanks for all you do.
